“People reached” is our projected community reach: the midpoint of our estimate of everyone the program touched beyond the people in the room, such as families, classmates, colleagues and neighbors.
Two middle schools that don't usually interact came together for a collaborative workshop, supported by two librarians, three aides and a facilitator in training.
Students moved from individual ideas to collective world-building, ending with a shared narrative and a visual picture of everything they'd imagined together.
- Previously hesitant students engaged in small-group brainstorming
- Students contributed ideas in multiple formats, lowering barriers for learners with expressive or literacy challenges
- Growing confidence in collaborative creativity and iterative design
- Two school communities found common ground
- 1
Your idea
Each student imagined a character.
- 2
Our world

- 3
Show it
The group created a shared story and visuals.
Students could share ideas by talking, writing or creating visuals with AI. That's Accessible Intelligence: learners with expressive or literacy challenges had a way in, and staff watched hesitant students jump into the brainstorming.
