These portfolios were created by youth (14-19 years old) in the Cooley Comics Pixels 2 Purpose program, made possible by collaboration between Cooley Comics LLC and the Workforce Development Institute (WDI). Through the integration of cutting-edge digital technology, students explore their creative potential while honing critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, preparing them for success in the modern workforce. This collaborative effort fosters a vibrant community of aspiring creators and storytellers, providing a space for individuals from diverse backgrounds to express themselves authentically and share their unique perspectives with the world.
Creations by AI Comic Labs Particpants
These books are created in 3-hour workshop with youth in grades 5-12. In the hands-on workshops we combine self-discovery, storytelling, and cutting-edge AI tools, and guide participants through the process of creating unique characters and vibrant universes based on their personal experiences and imagination. Each comic is more than just a story—it’s a powerful window into the lives, dreams, and challenges of people who often go unheard, showcasing their strengths and inspiring readers to see themselves as heroes.

The productions developed for our clients are the result of a unique collaboration between our team and the talented youth who have graduated from our AI Comic Labs. By hiring young artists and storytellers trained in our labs, clients receive dynamic and impactful content and contribute to a powerful economic development initiative—opening doors to high-paying creative jobs and empowering the next generation of talent. When you pay us for products or services we use the proceeds to train, hire, and empower socially unique individuals* to produce visual content. For every $150 we make, we offer a scholarship to our AI Comic Labs workshops. Qualifying individuals learn innovative digital skills while processing their stories in a supportive group settings. Those who excel in these workshops are offered jobs at Cooley Comics.
